Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association is a Medicare certified, State of Connecticut licensed, non-for-profit Home Health and Hospice Provider. In addition to our certified programs, SVNA operates a private duty - Home Assistance Program.
For three consecutive years SVNA has been recognized as a Top 25 - Home Care Elite Agency and has also been recognized by Fazzi Associates as a Top 25 Agency for our patient satisfaction survey results. Our agency takes great pride in the care that we have provided to our local community for over 112 years!
Company History
Founded in 1904 Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA) provides professional home health and hospice care to the residents of the Northwest Corner of Connecticut.
As one of the oldest rural visiting nurse and home health agencies in Connecticut we provide care to residents in the towns of Canaan, Cornwall, Falls Village, Goshen, Kent, Lakeville, Norfolk, Salisbury, Sharon, Taconic and Warren. SVNA’s services include, 24 hour 7 day a week care for patients of all ages including maternal and child care; post-surgical care; wound care; wellness visits; medical social services; hospice care; physical, occupational and speech therapy; home infusion therapy; home health aides; homemakers & companion care; and wellness clinics. Our patients range from expectant moms, to newborns, to the elderly and frail, and everyone in between.
